XML Declaration

Is there a way to add an xml declaration, <?xml version="1.0"?>, to the SAML Response? I wouldn’t know if this conforms to spec, just a question based on some samples I’m seeing (where the XML declaration is present).

Not a SAML expert here, and by doing so, does that mean that it will be part of the signature if the message itself is signed (not just Assertion)?

We don’t include an XML declaration and don’t support the inclusion of one as it isn’t necessary. If it were present it wouldn’t be included in the XML signature generation.
