System.PlatformNotSupportedException

When trying to connect to an identity provider by calling SAMLServiceProvider.InitiateSSO(Response, null, pn), the Response object returns the following error:

Response.Headers = ‘Response.Headers’ threw an exception of type ‘System.PlatformNotSupportedException’

I’ve done a bunch of searching, but can’t find out what this means. It appears it might have something to do with unsupported protocols, but I’m not sure.

Any ideas on where to begin looking? This is our first Shibboleth identity provider - the other ones are all Active Directory.

Please check that your application is running under the correct application pool type in IIS.
